Ants Crossing by Ivan Guerrero Najera

Ants Crossing

You ever hear of the ants crossing?
Most people could care less

It’s become a mild inconvenience
And a nuisance to the rest

Doesn’t it trouble you that they may stay?
Collecting what they need and such
But finding a home along the way

Doesn’t it bother you to see them here?
Coming and going all night and day
Breaking their backs all through the year

They’re only ants, plainly defenseless

Just step on them or block their path

Besides, the ant hill is not our business

Ants just can’t get at what we have
