I stared out of my post-dream fog
Through the morning window
You heard me question this
Reality only for you I'd miss
The waking is the challenge
But finding myself close
A dream is but a dream
And you are but a rose
I chased the wisdom
Of an man-sized owl
It fought me something fierce
And kept me on my toes
It threw a stone at me
I chased him and his friend
My inner child prevailed
And yet you comprehend
I stared and you stayed close
From the cold corner of our bed
A dream is but a dream
I fold into your arms instead
