I Held My Breath by Ivan Guerrero Najera

I Held My Breath

Spots of blue and white
Like a summer sky
Before the heat descends
My mind tends to fly light

Streams of consciousness
Like the sidewalk rain
Before the manholes flood
My thoughts are mud, pain and stress

And then I disconnect
Affected by the lack of self-control
I roll and rock and tumble back
And fall

And fail to reconnect what is correct
