Pool Hall by Ivan Guerrero Najera

Pool Hall

Love found us when we met
Our foolish hearts were part to blame

During a game of pool, I learned your name
Though you were too cool to play with me

I had to pull a smile on three
Because you played so hard to get

You sat there, seeming to forget
That you were there to fall in love with me

I tried to touch you, offered you a song
Asked you to come and follow me along
And choose a favorite, you see
Wanting to know of you and you of me

The night proceeded, but you were all I saw
Your captivating stare, so full of me
And though we both felt shy
Our paths were set, just you and me
