Second Skin by Ivan Guerrero Najera

Second Skin

Who hides a frown behind a smile
And jumps around the truth

Covering lack of wisdom with style
And innocence with youth

I fear the liar with the jokes
Cruelty in subtle spite

The empty heart with shallow strokes
And shining bright at night

Unlike a shark, I lack the fin
A snake without the fangs

You'll never see my second skin
But fear my sudden pangs
