You are the waves I swim in
Diving through your essence
I’m carried without a fin
Straight towards your lukewarm presence
I hold my breath as long as possible
Bubbles escape me, I confess
They are compliments quite plausible
Transformed inside my chest
It’s so disorienting
Not knowing how to float or sink
The salt of your sweet lips consenting
To drown me pleasantly, I think
I swim when I can’t swim
And reach to brace you, bring you home
Yet you escape my arms and win
Rolling me through the sand and foam
