Whisper by Ivan Guerrero Najera

Whisper

Investigate every murmur
The whisper for you to notice
The grapevine, the leaf, the lotus
My call to your inner fervor

Masticate every crumb
Every morsel of every sliver
Its heartbeats, a rhythmic quiver
My heart will secede, succumb

Enunciate every secret
The words that together bind
The mute, the deaf, the blind
Ere my inner self forget

Elaborate every phrase
For love can grow weak and slow
Left behind, lost like white in snow
A cloud lost in fog and haze

And the loneliness we forfeited
That we waived all these years
We can wave to as eyes to tears
Lips to kisses, and thoughts to fears
